    SPANISH INSTRUCTOR: Linfield University is currently searching for a part-time Spanish instructor for the Fall 2021 semester to teach two face-to-face classes (GLSP105: Intensive Elementary Spanish Monday through Thursday 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM / GLSP301: Spanish Composition & Conversation I Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM – 9:50 AM) with the possibility of returning in the spring semester. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in Spanish or second language acquisition with emphasis in Spanish and demonstrate at least two years of experience teaching Spanish language at the college level. Strong preference for candidates proficient with technology in the classroom, able to adapt to hybrid, online, instruction if needed. Familiarity with digital learning platforms (Pearson, Vista, Cengage, etc.) and learning management systems (Blackboard, Canvas, Google Classroom, My Spanish Lab), desired.

    The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Pacific University (Forest Grove, Oregon) invites applications for a part-time position to teach three courses with light departmental duties during the 2021-2022 academic year (August 30, 2021 – May 17, 2022):

    Fall 2021:  

    CHIN 201: Intermediate Chinese I (4 credits).  Class meets in-person, MWF 10:30-11:35 am

    Spring 2022: 

    CHIN 202: Intermediate Chinese II (4 credits). Class meets in-person, MWF 10:30-11:35 am

    CHIN 301: Communicating in Chinese (4 credits). Class meets in-person, MWF 11:45-12:50 pm.

    Master’s or PhD in related field required, as well as evidence of excellence in teaching. Native or near-native fluency in Chinese required. Salary will be commensurate with student enrollments.

    *Teach Japanese second year courses and Japanese culture courses at the Corvallis campus.

    *The position will begin in the fall term, 2021.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    *M.A. in Japanese, foreign language pedagogy, or in a related field from a college or university of recognized standing.

    *High-level of proficiency in Japanese and English.

    *Teaching experience at the college level.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    *Experience with JSL (Japanese: the Spoken Language).

    *Familiarity with Canvas (the learning platform).

    Other:

    *The candidate must participate in training to learn how to manage the course including lab sessions.
