The French American International School seeks a part time French Teacher for its middle school for 2021-22 academic year. The French teachers' primary role is to support the mission of the School by planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment to encourage students to develop and fulfill their personal potential. 

The Middle School is an IB accredited school, recognized by l'AEFE and belongs to the MLF network. It has 220 students and 25 teachers. It includes a large French department (50% of enrolled students) as well as English, German, Spanish and Mandarin departments.

The successful candidate will be a native speaker of French. Additional qualifications include the following: a strong commitment to teamwork, excellent communication skills, dynamic teacher style and a positive attitude toward educating young children. MYP training is an asset. 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Arts Degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in French Language Education - French; experience teaching French as a second language; training in delivering French certifications (DELF and DALF) a plus. Certification to teach French as a second language preferred; and moderate-level fluency in written and spoken English to communicate with staff and parents. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States. 

Compensation: Faculty salary scale based on years' of teaching experience and education.
