CLOSED - 2016 COFLT WAFLT Fall Conference Call For Proposals

  • One hour session include 15 minutes of flex time for questions and transition.
  • Longer sessions are best suited to workshops, panel discussions, or presentation that include a lot of audience participation or demonstration. Two hour sessions include 30 minutes of flex time for break and q&a.


Conference attendance is not free for presenters.

Please note that presenters must still pay conference registration. Submitting a proposal is free, but conference attendance is not.

Presentation Requirements

Theme: TBA

Focus Areas for submitting proposals are

  • Pedagogy & Practice: Practical language pedagogy, classroom practices, tips, tricks & tools, cultural practices.
  • Advocacy & Service: promotion of language & culture education, service learning, community engagement.
  • Scholarship & Research: in language acquisition, linguistics, pedagogy, intercultural topics, cultural practice or related subjects.

Session Length:   You may choose a 1 hour presentation or 2 hour participatory session or panel discussion.  

Deadline and Selection Process

Priority Submission Deadline : Friday, July 1, 2016. Additional proposals will be reviewed and accepted as space in the schedule allows.

Notification of selection: Presentations will be reviewed on a rolling basis.  Presenters will be notified no later than September 1, 2016.

Your presentation will either be accepted as is, accepted with modifications, or not accepted

Membership: You do not have to be a member of COFLT or WAFLT to submit a proposal; however, if your submission is selected for presentation, you must become a member in good standing.
