Cultura – Intercultural Communication in the Digital Age with Sabine Levet of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In this workshop Professor Levet will present Cultura, a longstanding collaborative project designed to develop intercultural learning where students from two different cultures compare and discuss online a variety of materials from both cultures.  She will demonstrate how you can implement or draw inspiration from Cultura in your own classroom, and look at what types of tasks and approach can help students make sense of the complexity that is inherent to working on culture.  She will provide information for conducting a web-based exchange with a school abroad, share her experience, so that you have a solid and in-depth understanding of what is involved to enable you to start designing your own project.

Additional information about Cultura is available at cultura.mit.edu
