TCB 216 L'expression de la quantité: partages d'idées pour remédier aux confusions
Jeanne Sarah de Larquier |
Pacific University |
French |
One concept we want our students to master at the intermediate French level and above, is how to express quantity accurately. Of course, this means knowing when to use 'de', 'd'', 'de la', 'du', des', 'un', une,' but this cannot be taught separately from non-quantitative articles (le, la, les, l'). Indeed, equally important, is knowing when to one versus the other. Students have to first conceptualize the difference, so that it intuitively begins to make sense. In this presentation I would like to share teaching ideas on how to accomplish that. The audience will be invited to participate as if they were students, and later ideas for sharing will be welcome.
